HOLLAND: Hoopla digital has inked a new licensing deal with Sesame Workshop to bring a host of Sesame Street content to participating public libraries across the U.S. and Canada.

The deal adds Sesame Street e-books, e-comic books and TV episodes to hoopla digital’s current offering of 600,000-plus e-books, audiobooks, comics, movies, music, TV shows and more. Sesame Street content, including popular episodes of the show, is now available for users to stream instantly to smartphones, tablets and computers through hoopla’s multi-format experience.

Hoopla digital also offers a “hoopla Kids Mode” feature, which families can use to search and access kid-friendly titles.

“Three generations have grown up with Sesame Street and benefited from this iconic work,” said Jeff Jankowski, the founder and owner of hoopla digital. “Hoopla digital is honored to add these titles to our expansive digital collection. Our partner libraries and their patrons often express how hoopla digital has become part of the experience they have with their families. Whether it is sharing our e-books or audiobooks together or watching TV shows and movies, hoopla offers a range of family content and an experience that can be enjoyed across screens—all with a library card.”

“We are excited to partner with hoopla digital to bring our beloved characters and educational content to library patrons across North America,” said Jennifer A. Perry, the VP and publisher of worldwide media distribution at Sesame Workshop. “With hoopla’s reach and our engaging materials, we can extend Sesame Street‘s laughter and learning to more children, helping us fulfill our mission to help kids everywhere grow smarter, stronger and kinder.”
