Semillitas, a channel for toddlers and preschoolers, has become available in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama.

Semillitas launched in Central America through pay-TV provider Claro. The network features commercial-free programming that is meant to provide a safe and healthy environment for young viewers, while helping them learn basic social skills and instilling Latino cultural values. It includes such series as Bob the Builder and Chloe’s Closet.

“The presence of Semillitas on Claro Central America represents a very important step for our channel,” said Luis Villanueva, the president and CEO of SomosTV. “We are happy to reach more homes and further our mission of supporting the education and healthy entertainment of children. With this expansion and our growth in the United States, we have achieved a successful presence in a very competitive segment.”
