Sabbatical Entertainment has licensed the children’s edutainment show Kids’ Planet to Spanish-language channel Univision Network in the U.S.

Kids’ Planet was created, developed and produced by Sabbatical. The 52-episode show, which follows the global adventures of a whimsical girl named Nova, aims to teach young viewers how to have good values, make smart choices and appreciate different cultures. It is one of three edutainment series being executive produced by Sabbatical CEO Miguel Somoza for Univision.

Somoza commented: “I have three kids, and aside from being the most important thing in my life, they are the coolest people I know. I learn more from them than from anyone else. Creating a show based on the way they speak to me, play with me and share their ideas is something that happened naturally and is so rewarding.”

“Sabbatical Entertainment is the perfect partner to produce educational content that instills values to the youngest members of the family,” added Andres Mendoza, the VP of programming and acquisition at Univision.
