Rainbow has inked a deal with Carousel that will see the new animated preschool series 44 Cats begin airing on the Russian channel next year.

44 Cats follows the adventures of four musical felines who live in a garage and play in a band together. The show was developed in association with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi. It will debut on Carousel, which has already aired Rainbow’s Winx Club and Regal Academy, in September 2019.

Tatyana Tsyvareva, editor-in-chief at Carousel, commented: “We are very pleased with our cooperation with Rainbow. We hope that this new animated series will be a great success with Russian kids. It is a good thing that now the Russian audience has one more opportunity to meet new heroes and follow their adventures.”

“We are delighted to be announcing this new deal, particularly as 44 Cats fits so well with Carousel’s audience,” added Andrea Graciotti, the head of TV sales at Rainbow. “It’s a privilege to be partnered with Carousel and we are very pleased to have such a great Russian partner for our new brand!”
