Rai Ragazzi Kicks Off Campaign for Young Animators

Rai Ragazzi has unveiled the L’ora di Tuffarsi (It’s Time to Dive) initiative geared toward animation/audiovisual students or recent graduates living in Italy who have an original and unpublished animation project for TV or film.

The campaign is open to participants between the ages of 18 and 26. Rai Ragazzi’s cartoons and TV series department will choose up to ten projects for a pitching session later this year. Submissions, which must be at least 26 minutes long, will be evaluated based on their originality, potential for success, innovative extent and potential for international development.

Applications are being accepted online until July 12. The selected participants will be notified via email by July 20. They will then be given the chance to present their projects for 30 minutes on September 3 in Rome, where representatives of independent Italian production companies will be in attendance.
