LONDON: FremantleMedia Kids & Family has appointed ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing as the licensing agent for the original and reimagined Danger Mouse series in Germany and German-speaking territories.

Toy distribution in the region will be managed by global master toy partner Jazwares, with ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing seeking best-in-class partners in all other major categories. The new Danger Mouse is co-produced by CBBC and FremantleMedia Kids & Family. The reboot began airing on Nickelodeon in Germany last year, while the classic show is available on Netflix.

Tracy Griffiths, the VP of licensing and consumer products for EMEA and Australia at FremantleMedia Kids & Family, said: “We are thrilled to have signed ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing to represent Danger Mouse in German-speaking territories. The original series was very popular in Germany and combined with ProSiebenSat.1’s licensing expertise we are confident that Danger Mouse will deliver another successful mission in Europe’s biggest market.”

Robert Merkel, the managing director of ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing, added: “Our ambition is for our brand to follow people throughout their lives, from infant to old age. Danger Mouse is an important step in this direction. With its mix of retro and a new style for the current TV series, the cartoon classic is an excellent fit for our franchise portfolio. We are looking forward to working successfully with FremantleMedia Kids & Family, a premium content company.”
