ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing has signed on to represent the license rights for the animated show Pat the Dog around the world, effective immediately.

Based on a mobile game, Pat the Dog is geared toward children between the ages of 6 and 9. ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing secured the rights for the series in a deal with France’s Superprod and Superights, marking the company’s first global franchise.

Robert Merkel, the managing director of ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing, said: “Pat the Dog is action coupled with loads of humor and emotions for the whole family. We are proud to be representing the licensing for this franchise internationally from now on. With Pat the Dog, we have acquired a high-quality CGI animation that occupies a unique brand position between ‘boysy’ superheroes and ‘girly’ princesses.”

Clément Calvet, founder of Superprod, noted: “Our property Pat the Dog couldn’t be in better hands! The professionalism and quality of the network of the ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing team immediately impressed us.”

“We share the same ambition for our worldwide hit property Pat the Dog and together we will take it rocket high,” added Jérémie Fajner, founder of Superprod.
