Production Begins on Fifth Season of Wild Kratts

TORONTO: Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Media Group have begun producing season five of the animated series Wild Kratts for PBS Kids in the U.S. and TVO and Knowledge Network in Canada.

Season five will be comprised of 20 episodes, bringing the total episode count to 138. It is scheduled to premiere on PBS Kids next year. Wild Kratts was created and developed by brothers and zoologists Martin and Chris Kratt, who star in the show as animated versions of themselves. The series is a co-production between Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Media Group.

Additionally, 9 Story placed Wild Kratts with more broadcasters across the globe. RTBF and VRT in Belgium, E Junior in the UAE and Israel, Noga in Israel, RTÉ in Ireland, SIC in Portugal and TVC in Spain have all come on board. The show is also under license to POP in the U.K., Super RTL in Germany, Minimax for Eastern Europe, DR in Denmark, TV3 and Canal Panda in Spain, MediaCorp in Singapore, TVB in Hong Kong, Familia Play in Colombia, Canal Futura in Brazil, Minika in Turkey, Al Jazeera Children’s Channel for the Middle East, Go! in Australia, and Discovery Kids for Latin America, India and Asia. Wild Kratts airs in more than 180 countries in 18 different languages.

Kratt Brothers Company distributes the series and manages licensing for the brand within North America. 9 Story Media Group handles all international distribution and licensing rights.
