Imira Entertainment CEO Sergi Reitg is stepping down from his role, with former Disney, NBCU and BBC exec Paul Robinson taking over as chief executive officer of the Spain-based company.

Robinson has a great deal of experience working in the kids’ entertainment arena, having served in senior executive roles at The Walt Disney Company, NBCUniversal and BBC. He will lead Imira through its next stage of growth while also expanding the company’s global distribution business.

Reitg established Imira Entertainment back in 2003. After taking a break, he will communicate the plans for his next venture in the industry.

Imira Entertainment earned record revenues in the current financial year, with sales on the rise by 20 percent and several new partners around the world. The independent production and distribution company, which is part of Toonz Media Group, has offices in Barcelona and Madrid.
