Lagardère Active Acquires Online Hit Badanamu

LOS ANGELES/SEOUL: Lagardère Active has picked up the linear and nonlinear rights to the animated VOD series Badanamu from Calm Island and LNC Media for French-speaking Europe and Africa.

The multiplatform deal includes animated shorts, more than 70 songs and the new Badanamu Imagine That! preschool TV show, which has 52×8-minute episodes currently in production for broadcast on Lagardère’s TiJi, Gulli and YouTube channels. Badanamu is one of the fastest-growing edutainment brands, with more than 1.3 billion online views. The property aims to encourage STEM learning in a playful and musical environment.
