Nickelodeon Gears Up for Comic-Con 2016

LOS ANGELES: Nickelodeon is slated to showcase Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and other nostalgic brands at this year’s Comic-Con International, which is being held in San Diego from July 21 to 24.

Nickelodeon will feature a variety of games, talent autograph signings, photo ops with costumed characters, retail areas and more centered on such retro properties as Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Double Dare, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, CatDog, Rocko’s Modern Life and Invader Zim. “Those who dare to pass through the sacred gates of Comic-Con will enter a world of nostalgic treasures, artifacts and trivia from Nickelodeon’s beloved ’90s archives,” said King Olmec, keeper of Nick’s 1,800-square-foot booth. “The choice to enter is yours and yours alone, loyal fans.”

Nickelodeon will also be presenting four panels during the convention: Happy Happy! Joy Joy! (July 21 at 11:15 a.m.) will look back at the past 25 years of original Nickelodeon animation; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—Return to New York (July 22 at 11:45 a.m.) takes an exclusive first look at the current TV season; She Made That?: Nickelodeon Hosts Women in Animation (July 22 at 6:30 p.m.) spotlights some of the genre’s female pioneers; and Back to the ’90s: Nickelodeon’s All That Reunion and Legends of the Hidden Temple! (July 23 at 11:15 a.m.) will reunite All That cast members while also taking a look at the upcoming Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie.
