Nick Veteran to Lead Boomerang SVOD Service

Time Warner’s Turner and Warner Bros. have appointed Sundance Feniger as VP and general manager of Boomerang, a recently launched premium video subscription service featuring classic and original animated titles.

In this newly created role, Feniger will lead the overall Boomerang streaming business across all functions and partner with DramaFever on technology. The new Boomerang service is a joint venture from Turner and Warner Bros. Digital Networks Group that launched on April 11. Feniger will report jointly to both companies.

Prior to joining Boomerang, Feniger was senior director of product strategy and development at Nickelodeon. He developed the strategy and managed premium product for Viacom’s first mobile SVOD service, NOGGIN. He also held multiple leadership positions with the Nickelodeon Games Group.

“Sundance has a passion for kids’ content and animation,” stated Turner and Warner Bros. “He also has the technical and data background to understand the underlying business. His knowledge and experience in developing great product will help Boomerang win in this competitive space.”

Boomerang launched with the Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes and MGM animation libraries of more than 5,000 titles. The offering features franchises such as Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Jetsons and The Flintstones, as well as Boomerang original exclusives, including Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz and Wacky Races.
