Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has elevated Mark Kingston to senior VP of Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, replacing Ron Johnson, who has departed the company.

In his new role, Kingston will work out of London under Pam Kaufman, chief marketing officer of Nickelodeon and president of Nickelodeon Consumer Products. He will manage all of Viacom’s consumer products business outside of the U.S. across retail, operations, licensing, and promotions and marketing. His previous post focused on the EMEA region.

Kingston was first hired by Viacom in 2011 as VP of European licensing, retail sales and trade marketing. Before joining Nickelodeon, he served in a number of positions at The Walt Disney Company and BBC Worldwide. He first began his career at Mars UK.

“Mark’s knowledge of the international licensing landscape is second to none,” said Kaufman. “During his tenure, Mark has significantly expanded our EMEA consumer products business, while also identifying and building new international opportunities and relationships, and developing overarching region-specific CP strategies.”
