New Sesame Street Merchandise to Hit Retail

A number of new Sesame Street-branded apparel and lifestyle collections are becoming available, spanning such products as graphic tees, handbags, canvas prints and more.

Bioworld is releasing apparel and accessories. The initial line will be launched at Urban Outfitters, BoxLunch and Spencer’s in early 2018. Mad Engine is working on apparel for all ages, with Sesame Street x Neff branded T-shirts and beanies for adults hitting shelves this year.

Zara has apparel for men, women and children, as well as such accessories as backpacks, handbags and shoes for kids, tweens and teens. New merchandise for girls will roll out at Zara stores around the globe in April.

Lauren Moshi is coming out with additional capsules that will include apparel, headwear, bags and art canvases for women and children. Drake General Store will continue to offer speciality apparel for kids and adults.

New lifestyle licensing partners for Sesame Street are Globe Brand with premium skateboard decks and The Land of Nod with home furnishings such as décor, playroom furniture, bedding, apparel, backpacks and toys.

“As we approach Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary, partnering with innovative creators in the fashion and lifestyle space helps us reach fans of all ages in new and surprising ways,” said Gabriela Arenas, the VP of licensing for North America at Sesame Workshop. “Each of our partners brings powerful expertise in product design and merchandising as they interpret our classic characters in their own unique styles.”

“Whether strengthening relationships with existing partners or building new ones, Sesame Street remains as relevant today as it was when it first launched, always introducing elements of wit and joy to what we deliver,” added Arenas. “Looking to the future, Sesame Street is getting ready to celebrate 50 years in 2019 with more collaborative surprises on the way.”
