NEW YORK: Sesame Workshop has named new licensing representatives for the Sesame Street brand, with IMG coming on board in China, Televisa Consumer Products signing on in Mexico and Kasmanas Licensing joining in Brazil.

In China, IMG, which also represents Sesame Street in Japan and South Korea, will oversee key categories such as accessories, food and beverages, homeware, skincare and beauty, and book publishing. In Mexico, Televisa Consumer Products will oversee Sésamo brand licensing, and the series is set to return to Televisa’s Channel 5 this month with 52 episodes.

Kasmanas Licensing, meanwhile, will introduce the Sésamo brand in Brazil, and a newly revamped show will begin airing at the end of the year.

“It’s a brand new day on Sesame Street,” said Maura Regan, the senior VP and general manager of global consumer products at Sesame Workshop. “As we begin laying the foundation for our 50th anniversary in 2019, we are working with partners who will create a unified whole-child product offering from breakfast to bedtime. We’re confident in the expertise of IMG, Televisa and Kasmanas to develop strong licensing programs in market that will allow us to help kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder.”
