LONDON: Turner’s Cartoon Network has appointed Global Brands Group’s TLC as its licensing representative across France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Benelux.

In those territories, TLC is charged with building and managing the official licensing programs for Cartoon Network’s library of original animated properties. Titles involved in the agreement include the hit comedies Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball, as well as the new reboots of The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10, among many others.

“Cartoon Network Enterprises owns a unique space in the entertainment licensing industry and their plans for the future and upcoming shows are very compelling,” said Melvin Thomas, the CEO of TLC. “We plan to build, promote, assist and expand the company’s licensing and merchandising business, positioning it as a leader of licensed kids’ brands in our territories.”

Johanne Broadfield, the VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises in EMEA, added: “France, GSA and Benelux are high potential markets for us. We’re very excited to be partnering with TLC to ramp up our licensing activity and bring the successes we’ve seen in our other core European markets to these key licensing territories.”
