The children’s SVOD service Okidoki has launched in France on Samsung Smart TVs.

The service, developed and distributed by Alchimie and animated by Millimages, is now available on the brand-new Samsung Smart TV User Interface. It will immediately appear to any new client who turns on their television. Okidoki features more than 3,000 original kids’ programs—animated and live-action series, documentaries, movies—representing 500-plus hours of content.

Raphael Porte, the chief business development officer at Alchimie, said: “Smart TVs is one of the fastest growing segments of connected devices in the world and could become the main gateway to access OTT content all over the world in the coming years. Alchimie will continue to distribute any kind of content directly on those devices as well as through digital platforms and telecom operators’ networks. With a forecast of over 200 million units shipped in 2017, growing to 260 million in 2019, there will be around 1 billion Smart TVs sold all over the world during the next years.”

The Okidoki service also exists in 23 different languages and will be available for distribution in the coming weeks all over the world.
