Hasbro and The Autism Project have partnered on ToyBox Tools, a collection of resources designed to help parents, teachers and caregivers make play more accessible to children with developmental disabilities.

The initiative is in honor of Autism Awareness Month. Through the ToyBox Tools website, visitors can browse resources online, and download and print them to use at home or in classrooms. The resources feature a range of Hasbro brands, including My Little Pony, Transformers, Playskool, Baby Alive and Hasbro Gaming.

Resources include playbooks with step-by-step instructions on how to play with select Hasbro toys and games, wait cards to teach children the skill of waiting while others have their turn, countdown timers to help support the passage of time and number of turns, and playmats that serve as a fun and useful backdrop for play. The tools were developed in collaboration with The Autism Project. They were designed to help children with a range of developmental challenges enjoy playtime in a way that is fun and comfortable, at their own pace.
