The Fred Rogers Company has hired Rachel Hecht Children’s Scouting as literary scout for television.

In her new position, Hecht will be sourcing and advising on kids’ book properties that could potentially be developed for the small screen. This marks the first time that The Fred Rogers Company has appointed a scout.

Hecht set up her agency last year after working in the children’s publishing industry for a decade. Rachel Hecht Children’s Scouting is the first and only kids’ and young adult-focused scouting agency in the U.S.
