Entertainment One (eOne) has closed deals to grow the on-air and retail presence of its preschool properties Peppa Pig and PJ Masks across the Nordic region.

Plus Licens represents the consumer products programs for both properties and will introduce new categories across the region in 2017. Peppa Pig airs in Norway (NRK), Denmark (DR), Finland (YLE) and Sweden (SVT). A publishing program is established in Finland, Norway, Otava and Gyldendal, and the first published titles will roll out in Denmark and Forlaget Alvilda later this year. Additional categories set to launch in the Nordic region starting this September include plastic bead sets from HAMA, night lights by Bjørna, and puzzles and games from Clementoni, Amo and Barbo.

PJ Masks launched in April in Sweden on SVT, where it airs in multiple slots daily. Starting in September, Fox will begin airing the first season in Finland. The first product line for PJ Masks in the region will launch at retail from fall/winter 2017. Partners include Skybrands for apparel and home textiles, Clementoni for puzzles, Euromic for back-to-school items, Procos for partyware, Stor for tableware, Amscan for Carnival costumes and Bjørna for night lights. eOne is currently negotiating a publishing deal for books and a stand-alone magazine in Denmark and Sweden.

Ami Dieckman, the head of international licensing at Entertainment One, said, “We are deeply committed to strengthening the licensing success of Peppa Pig and PJ Masks across Northern Europe and we look forward to working with our partners there to make these beloved preschool properties a big success across the region.”
