LONDON: The E-Bop.tv digital TV channel for kids is set to launch next month with a programming slate comprising 100 percent British content.

E-Bop.tv will become available on May 31, offering such U.K. preschool programming as Little Red Tractor, Billy, Jolly Jobs, Flossie the Tooth Fairy and Don’t Like It, Won’t Eat It. The ad-free network will include an automatic switch-off after two hours of continuous viewing to limit children’s screen time. It is a collaboration between kids’ TV producer Keith Littler and entrepreneur Victoria Brook.

The E-Bop.tv home page focuses on the Bopnik space station. It features a Grown Ups password-protected area with magazine-driven content; a Cool Stuff section with activities for children; a TV Programmes area that will be updated every month; and Space Agent HQ, a subscriber-only section that provides members with advance programming info, special event invites, regular Bobnik updates and more.

Littler remarked: “The launch of E-Bop.tv is the fulfillment of a dream that’s been with me for several years now. What makes it even more special is that we have brought this channel to launch without any compromises; the two-hour auto switch-off, 100 percent original U.K. content, free access and no advertising to kids are all in place, which give us exceptionally strong USP’s that we know will appeal to parents. The time is right and we have a great team in place to take on the challenge of driving this channel forward to achieve its full potential in the coming months.”
