SINGAPORE: Following launches in Thailand and Malaysia last year, DreamWorks Channel is now set to be available in Singapore through a deal with cable platform StarHub.

StarHub will launch DreamWorks Channel March 3 as both a linear and on-demand service. The HD channel comes with English- and Mandarin-language options, with a lineup that includes Dragons: Race to the Edge, Dinotrux, All Hail King Julien and The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show, among others. Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Furious Five and Secrets of the Masters will air to celebrate the release of Kung Fu Panda 3 in Singaporean theaters March 10. Also on the schedule is a daily morning preschool block, DreamWorks Junior, featuring shows like Raa Raa The Noisy Lion and Guess with Jess.

HBO Asia is managing affiliate sales, marketing and technical services for the new channel, which will be available for subscription under StarHub TV’s Supreme Box Office Pack and the DreamWorks Pack. Both services are also part of the Go Premium pack on the streaming service StarHub Go.

“We’re pleased to welcome StarHub, one of Asia’s leading media groups, to the DreamWorks Animation family,” said Eric Ellenbogen, co-head of international TV for DreamWorks Animation. “For the first time ever, StarHub will bring our content all together in one amazing place across a variety of platforms so that families in Singapore can watch our series whenever and wherever they want.”

“DreamWorks Animation is a household name synonymous with quality family entertainment and we are excited that StarHub TV customers will be the first in Singapore to enjoy the DreamWorks Channel,” said Howie Lau, chief marketing officer of StarHub. “With the DreamWorks Channel’s award-winning content also accessible on multiple devices via StarHub Go, children and their parents will be delighted to know that they will always have DreamWorks’ beloved cast of characters with them for company.”
