NEW YORK: Sunrights has teamed up with Disney XD in the U.S. to air Beyblade Burst, the newest animated series in the Beyblade franchise.

The 51-episode series will make its premiere on the channel in the U.S. in December. As the third generation of the franchise, Beyblade Burst follows a group of passionate Bladers who pursue their dreams. Beyblade Burst will air on Disney XD’s linear channel and digital platforms.

Disney XD also acquired Beyblade animated content from the first and second generations, consisting of seven seasons and three spin-off series, for a total of 350 episodes. Beyblade Burst puts a spotlight on real sports, competition and friendship.

“We are thrilled to team up with Disney XD and believe its programming and digital strategies make them the ideal network to introduce Beyblade Burst to a new generation of fans,” said Kaz Soeda, the managing director of Sunrights.

Hasbro will launch a new Beyblade Burst product line in the U.S. in January 2017. Fans can play along with the Beyblade Burst app for iOS and Android devices.
