BURBANK: Ahead of its season one debut, Disney XD has ordered a sophomore season of the reimagined DuckTales animated comedy adventure series.

The DuckTales reboot is based on the Emmy-winning show from the late 1980s. The Disney Television Animation production will feature the voices of David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck; Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as Huey, Dewey and Louie, respectively; Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack; Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack; and Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley. The first installment is set to premiere this summer.

Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) is executive producing the new DuckTales, with Francisco Angones (Wander Over Yonder) serving as story editor and co-producer

Marc Buhaj, the senior VP of programming and general manager of Disney XD, said: “Fans around the world are eager and we’re looking forward to introducing viewers to the all-new DuckTales. This early season-two order is a testament to the quality work the creative team, led by Matt and Frank, and the cast are delivering.”
