Discovery Brings Smighties to the MENA Region

Imira Entertainment has inked a deal with Discovery Networks in the MENA region for the fantastical comedy adventure series Smighties.

Discovery picked up the Herotainment and Toonz Media Group co-production for 25 Middle Eastern territories in English and Arabic. The series will air on Discovery’s DKids channel, which is exclusive to beIN and covers territories such as Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

DKids also covers Qatar, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE, Yemen, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, and West Bank and Gaza Strip. Imira is in discussions with other global broadcast partners for the 78×7-minute gender-neutral series.
