Cyber Group Makes Foray into Feature-Film Distribution

CANNES: Cyber Group Studios is introducing Iqbal, Tale of a Fearless Child, which marks the first animated feature to be distributed by the company.

A French-Italian co-production, Iqbal is based on a book by Francesco D’amano that was published in more than 30 territories around the world. The film was released in French theaters on August 24, and Cyber Group is at MIPJunior taking the title out to the global market.

The movie is inspired by the true story of a Pakistani hero boy, Iqbal Masih. It features a tale about children’s rights.

Florent Mounier, artistic director and director of development for the film, said: “2d3D Animations is happy to have Cyber Group Studios bringing our film, Iqbal, Tale of a Fearless Child, to the international market. Iqbal’s story is a lesson of courage, a movie to be shared in family.”
