Corus Unveils Fall Lineup for Trio of Channels

TORONTO: Corus Entertainment has revealed highlights for its kids’ networks YTV, Treehouse and TELETOON for the fall season, which kicks off early next month.

YTV, which targets children between the ages of 6 and 11, is due to debut the upcoming original Ride on September 5 at 7 p.m. The series follows the adventures of a girl who moves to England with her father after he lands a new job at an equestrian boarding school. The channel has already digitally released a full episode of Ride on YTVGo, the YTV website, Facebook and YouTube.

Also on September 5, YTV is launching Everything is Awesome Day, which will feature a sneak peek at the new Nickelodeon series The Loud House at 4 p.m., followed by the network debut of The Lego Movie at 4:30 p.m. Later that night will see the world premiere of the new Canadian original Tricked at 7:30 p.m.

On Treehouse, which is aimed at 2- to 5-year-olds, Ranger Rob will make its world debut on September 5 at 6:25 p.m. The new Nelvana show is led by an adventurous hero who encourages kids to share his love of the outdoors. Other series on Treehouse include Octonauts, Peppa Pig and Trucktown.

TELETOON, for the 6-to-11 set, will see Teen Titans Go! and The Powerpuff Girls airing back-to-back on weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. starting on September 5. The lineup also includes a Superfan Friday block with new episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers Dino Super Charge and Avengers Assemble every week from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, the channel offers such cartoons as ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks, Wabbit and Lego Nexo Knights every weekend morning from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
