Chuck Chicken Expands Presence in Asia

KUALA LUMPUR: Animasia Studio’s Chuck Chicken has been licensed to new Asian broadcasters, including MediaCorp Suria Channel in Singapore and Media Prima Channel 9 in Malaysia.

Chuck Chicken follows a security service on a chaotic, bird-filled island. The animated action comedy series airs on Singapore’s MediaCorp Suria Channel on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and Malaysia’s Media Prima TV9 on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. (moving to Fridays at 6:30 p.m. on January 6). It also broadcasts on China’s Wuhan Kids TV every Saturday and Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

Chuck Chicken has already been enjoying success on Disney Asia in SEA, Nickelodeon in India and Disney China. The 52×11-minute show, which is aimed at young viewers between the ages of 7 and 11, is a co-venture between Animasia Studio in Malaysia and Fuzhou ZeroOne Animation in China. A Chuck Chicken movie is slated for theatrical release next year.
