CBBC is slated to premiere Live & Dangerous, a tentatively titled live entertainment extravaganza, on Saturday mornings this autumn.

Live & Dangerous will feature celebrity guests, games, sketches, slime and some of CBBC’s favorite series. The 12×120-minute show will air live from MediaCityUK every weekend starting in September. The presenters are still being confirmed, but it seems likely that CBBC’s Hacker T. Dog will join the lineup. Audiences in the studio and at home will be able to interact by quizzing pop stars and playing games on the channel’s digital platforms.

Cheryl Taylor, CBBC’s controller, said: “The presentation team are the beating heart of CBBC and their expanded role on Saturday mornings to deliver a live extravaganza will cause great excitement for our audience. We have been using new technology to connect with the 6 to 12s for some time now and I’m proud to be in a position to offer unique live participation opportunities, which will make CBBC an even more special destination on Saturdays.”
