WOW! Unlimited Media’s Frederator Studios has picked up the rights to develop and pitch an animated show based on the hit children’s book Catlantis penned by Russia’s Anna Starobinets.

Catlantis follows the adventures of a lazy feline named Baguette, who must travel back in time to marry the love of his life and restore peace to an ancient fabled city. The upcoming television series will be story edited by Brydie Lee-Kennedy (The Amazing World of Gumball).

Eric Homan, the VP of development at Frederator Studios, commented: “Anna’s work has not only an enchanting story with wonderful charm, but also, by good luck, cats. We’re working hard to build a crack team to make the cartoon adaption of Catlantis just as special.”
