Boomerang Lines Up DC Super Hero Girls Special

ATLANTA: Super Hero High, an animated special featuring characters from DC Super Hero Girls—a new comic universe from Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and Mattel—is due to debut on Boomerang later this month.

Super Hero High follows the adventures of Supergirl, a new high school student who is learning how to harness her powers. The action-packed hour-long special is scheduled to premiere on March 19 at 10 a.m. In addition, exclusive shorts based on the DC Super Hero Girls world are now available to view on the Cartoon Network video app.

The Super Hero High voice cast stars Anais Fairweather and Mae Margaret Whitman alongside such DC Comics universe veterans as Greg Cipes, Tara Strong, Ashley Eckstein, John DiMaggio, Tom Kenny, Helen Slater and Dean Cain. Jennifer Coyle (Bob’s Burgers) serves as producer and director, with Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) as executive producer. Shea Fontana is the writer of the TV special and animated shorts, as well as the DC Comics graphic novel.
