Next month in Cannes, Portfolio Entertainment plans to present its newly expanded slate of children’s programming, which includes the animated show Bubu and the Little Owls.

Bubu and the Little Owls follows the outdoor adventures of a family of owls, who find answers to their questions through inventions, songs and games. Portfolio secured the international rights for the 26×11-minute preschool series outside of Latin America, where it is due to debut soon on Disney Jr.

Another animated highlight is Cyberchase, a newly acquired program produced by THIRTEEN and aimed at young viewers between the ages of 6 and 11. Set in cyberspace, the Emmy-winning show sees STEM being used to fight evil. Portfolio is representing the latest 20×30-minute episodes outside of the U.S. and Canada, as well as the 72×30-minute episodes from past seasons.

On the live-action side, Portfolio snapped up the rights for the second installment of Do You Know?, a docuseries in which social media sensation Maddie Moate teaches kids how everyday things work. The company already sells the show’s freshman season, which it previously licensed to Discovery Family in MENA, LOGI Channel in Israel and Starz in the U.S.

Jonathan Abraham, Portfolio’s director of international sales and acquisitions, said: “Portfolio is excited to bring these new titles to buyers at MIPCOM. We are proud of our rich and diverse catalog of engaging and entertaining content that continues to hit the mark with buyers and audiences around the world.”
