Bento Box Entertainment’s Sutikki has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with 9 Story Distribution International for Moon and Me, with 9 Story Brands serving as global licensing and merchandising agent.
9 Story will distribute the series outside of the U.S., U.K. and China, and will represent L&M rights in territories excluding the U.K. and China. Sutikki and 9 Story will present the preschool property to international buyers at MIPJunior, where it will have a World Premiere Screening on October 14.
Created by Andrew Davenport (Teletubbies), Moon and Me is making its TV debut on CBeebies in the U.K. this fall, followed by its U.S. launch on Universal Kids. The show is being produced by Sutikki and Davenport’s Foundling Bird.
“Since we began working on Moon and Me, we have always believed it to be a genuinely global brand,” stated Irene Weibel and Andrew Kerr, co-founders of Sutikki. “9 Story is a partner that we know very well, and whose international expertise will be key in achieving the global outcomes we have in mind for Andrew Davenport’s newest creation.”
“Sutikki and Foundling Bird have brought to life such an inspiring and creative world within Moon and Me, and we are proud to be working with their teams and the creator of two of the most iconic preschool programs to ever be televised,” added Natalie Osborne, chief strategy officer at 9 Story. “We look forward to being a part of Moon and Me’s success as a top global brand for young children.”
