E4 has commissioned fourth and fifth seasons of 12 Yard Productions’ Coach Trip and has also extended its season three order from 30 to 40 episodes.

12 Yard Productions, an ITV Studios company, will now produce 90 more episodes of the show. The third season, Coach Trip: Road to Zante, premieres later this month. Seasons four and five are slated for 2018. Tour guide Brendan returns to lead young Brits on a journey of discovery across Europe, with all of them hoping to reach the end of the road without being voted off the show. The goal is to win a luxury vacation. Matt Walton and Ben Stevens will continue as executive producers.

“The move to E4 and into peak has opened the show up to a brand-new audience and the younger-skewed cast have brought a new lease of life to Brendan,” said Walton. “With two more [seasons] ordered for next year and the 500th episode set to air this summer, there’s been a renewed interest in the format internationally and we’re excited to see where the road leads to next.”

Jonny Rothery, the commissioning editor for formats and music, added, “Coach Trip continues to be a winning formula for E4. We’re looking forward to bringing the series into 2018, with more twists and turns from Brendan along the way.”
