Since launching last MIPTV The Four, which is part of Armoza Formats’ offering in Cannes this year, has been making headlines with its successful airings in the U.S. on FOX and in Russia on CTC, as well as multiple deals worldwide.

“Broadcasters are always looking for new prime-time shows that will appeal to a wide audience, and The Four definitely fits this need as we see that music competitions continue to be relevant,” says Sharon Levi, the head of sales at Armoza Formats. “The fresh and unique spin that the format has [put] on the genre has helped lead to its global success.”

The company is also presenting Rage Room, which is available as a long-form and short-form format and finished series. Produced by Mighty Productions, the show sees two contestants share with the host and celebrity guest an issue that makes them angry.

Sunday League, produced by Anagram Productions and MTG, is a comedy in which the main character is tapped to coach the worst men’s soccer team. It is available as a format and finished tape.

There is also The Surprise Teacher from Palomar Entertainment. The factual-entertainment format sees a new celebrity each week surprise a class of high school students, disrupting their usual studies with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“From market to market, we come in with new formats for all of our clients’ needs as well as success stories from our existing shows,” Levi adds.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, commented, “When deciding our MIP lineup, it was important to us to address the needs of our clients in our ever-shifting content world, and we believe that these formats do just that in an innovative and fresh way.”
