Talpa’s format The Wishing Tree has been acquired by HTV3-DreamsTV in Vietnam, marking its arrival in Asia.

The Vietnamese version of the show will be produced in-house by Novel Production. It is expected to go on the air in fall 2018. Since its launch in the Netherlands, The Wishing Tree been adapted in nearly ten countries, including Spain, Germany, Brazil and Poland.

Thanh Bui, a representative of HTV3-DreamsTV, commented, “I love the format because it’s not about achieving a dream for yourself, it’s wishing a dream for somebody else. I think it’s a wonderful thing in the Vietnamese society, especially among the young generation who are more entitled than any other generation before them. They need to learn the sense of giving back to the community and giving back to people who don’t have what they have. No dream is too small, no dream is too big. All dreams are important and all dreams can be achieved with some help. If this show can help families and children through inspiring people to dream and not be afraid of the challenges they may face to get there, it’ll be one step in the right direction. I really hope this show can be heart-warming and inspire all families to encourage each other to live with their dreams. So I appreciate Talpa for the opportunity to work with them on this spectacular show.”
