Italian Version of The Voice Set for Fifth Season

Talpa’s hit singing-competition format The Voice has been renewed for a fifth season in Italy, with the latest installment featuring new coaches.

Season five of The Voice of Italy will see Francesco Renga, Cristina Scabbia and Al Bano joining as first-time coaches alongside J-Ax, who was featured in the show’s second and third installments. The new season will premiere on Rai 2 on Thursday, March 22.

The Voice first began airing in the Netherlands back in 2010. The Emmy-winning format now has 67 local versions broadcasting in more than 180 countries.
