Endemol Shine Iberia is producing a second season of the social-experiment format The Bridge for Movistar’s #0 in Spain.

The Bridge is known locally as El Puente and was created by Zeppelin TV, part of Endemol Shine Iberia. The second season will air in prime time on Movistar’s #0 in 2018.

Lisa Perrin, the CEO of Creative Networks at Endemol Shine Group, said, “The Bridge is a totally unique format, which is beautifully filmed with bold factual qualities at its heart. We have a brilliant creative team in Spain and we’re extremely proud of the show’s success there. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the second series on #0.”

Alvaro Diaz, the managing director of Zeppelin, added, “Our aim with this second season is to maintain the original narrative and aesthetic values of the format while bringing in an epic new twist to the game. Be sure to look out for The Bridge‘s red light.”
