TEL AVIV: German-language channel 3Sat has ordered a local version of Armoza Formats’ factual-entertainment show With This Ring for broadcast in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

The multi-country network, which is part of the ZDF, ORF, SRG, SSR and ARD pact, will begin production on With This Ring later this year for broadcast next summer. The format looks on as a local celebrity host meets couples in marital crises and explores their issues. It has already aired in France and Israel.

Rajan Autze, the head of 3Sat Switzerland, remarked: “We discovered With This Ring at MIPTV and immediately saw that it would perfectly suit our channel. The mixture of the emotional and intellectual approach towards marital crisis and its solutions is a unique one, and really brings to life the importance of communication within couples.”

In other news, the docureality format Marry Me Now, which was recently snapped up by ProSiebenSat.1 Group, is slated to begin production in the spring for broadcast in summer 2017. The format launched earlier this year and has been sold into eight territories so far, including France, Italy and China.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, added: “We are thrilled to see our formats grow across Europe and in the key German-speaking market. These formats tell emotional and relatable stories that speak to audiences everywhere, bringing to life genuine and authentic issues that we all face. It is these factors that ensure that they will be received well by viewers.”
