A+E Networks Grows Global Formats Team

NEW YORK/CANNES: A+E Networks has named Hayley Babcock, a former executive at Fox and Sony Pictures Television, as its head of formats, international programming and production.

In her new role, Babcock will work with programming leads at the company’s U.S. domestic brands to identify and source formats for the international marketplace. She will work closely with all areas of the company’s international formats team, including business affairs, marketing, publicity and research, to support the sales process and oversee the production of A+E’s formats worldwide. She will report to Amanda Hill, the chief creative officer of international at A+E Networks.

Babcock previously worked at Fox, where she established the format production division from the ground up before moving on to Sony Pictures Television, where she ran international format productions and worked on strategic creative development across the global group of companies.

“Adding an executive with Haley’s pedigree is a huge win for the A+E formats team,” said Hill. “Hayley is a savvy business executive with a proven track record in building brands, managing IP and guiding the production of formats around the globe.”

Babcock is attending MIPTV with A+E Networks. She participated in the session New Creative Boom in the U.S., which was moderated by World Screen’s Anna Carugati and explored what is driving the success of A+E Networks’s 60 Days In and Viacom International Media Networks’s Lip Sync Battle.
