560 Media, a global rights collection agency, has inked a five-year secondary-rights management deal with Banijay Rights and a separate agreement with Zodiak Kids.

560 Media, which is led by CEO John O’Sullivan, will oversee the collection of Banijay Rights’ international revenues through secondary TV rights exploitation, including retransmission, educational off air, recording levy and private-copy levies. Zodiak Kids signed up for 560 Media’s client-focused, intelligence-based revenue-management services.

Tim Mutimer, the CEO at Banijay Rights, commented: “As Banijay Group and Banijay Rights continue to grow, the revenues that we earn through secondary exploitation become ever more valuable and we trust John and his team to deliver strong results and best-in-class reporting to us.”

O’Sullivan added: “Banijay is quite simply an industry giant, whose deep catalog is not only a creative gold mine but a valuable seam of secondary-rights revenues. We look forward to helping Tim and his team to manage their rights in today’s fragmented and increasingly complex marketplace.”
