HBO Europe has appointed a pair of execs to its original programming team as it looks to increase production activities on the continent.

Camilla Curtis has been named script development executive, working on scripted drama across HBO Europe territories. Based in London, she will report to Steve Matthews, VP and executive producer for drama development. Curtis first started in the industry as a runner and worked in production before transitioning to script development at ITV Studios.

Patricia Nieto becomes production executive for original programming at HBO España. She will work out of Madrid under Miguel Salvat, commissioning editor for original programming at HBO España. Nieto previously was employed by producer Calle Cruzada. Earlier in her career, she was a production coordinator, production manager and line producer on a number of movies.

Antony Root, the executive VP of original programming and production at HBO Europe, commented: “These newly created roles within the original programming team reflect our deep and continued commitment to producing local original drama in our European territories. I’m delighted Camilla and Patricia are joining us at this exciting time. Their skills and experience will be invaluable to our growth.”
