RTVE to Showcase Programming Slate & More at Madrid Event

RTVE will host more than 150 participants in Madrid next week as the company presents programming news and analyzes trends in the production, distribution and consumption of audiovisual content.

The event will be held on June 11 and 12 at the Hotel Puerta de América in Madrid. The showcase will begin with an official welcome delivered by RTVE’s general director, Enrique Alejo, followed by a brief presentation on TVE production trends led by TVE’s director, Eladio Jareño.

RTVE will present the prime-time scripted series La otra mirada, Fugitiva, El Continental, Sabuesos and Estoy Vivo. RTVE will also highlight daily scripted series such as Acacias 38 and Servir y Proteger, as well as Centro Médico. There will be a special presentation on Cuéntame cómo pasó, a Spanish series that continues to draw high ratings through 19 seasons on the air.

RTVE will also highlight the online service Playz. Playz features short web-series with original content that promotes interactivity with generation Z viewers.

In addition, two panels will be held. “How to Tell Successful Stories in Television of the 21st Century” will be moderated by Fernando López Puig, the director of fiction and cinema for TVE. “New Television Consumption Habits,” moderated by Ignacio Gómez, the director of the analysis and new projects department at TVE, will analyze trends in audiovisual content viewing.
