Audiovisual from Spain to Showcase Range of Spanish Content at MIPTV

Twenty companies will attend MIPTV under the Audiovisual from Spain banner to present scripted programs, formats, animation and documentaries.

Among the companies participating in the Audiovisual from Spain pavilion at MIPTV, which is organized by ICEX, are ATRESMEDIA Televisión, Mediaset España, Filmax International, Comercial TV, Onza Distribution, Film Factory Entertainment, Anima Ktichent, All the Kids Entertainment, Mediabank and Filmarket Hub. The Galacian Agency for Cultural Industries will boost participation with six additional companies.

Spanish companies will be represented at MIPTV and CANNESERIES, with several titles having been selected as finalists for the MIPFormats pitches and Gigantes, produced by Movistar+, having been chosen to screen at the MIPDrama Summit. White Dragons, produced by Motion Pictures and Diagonal TV, was selected for the Kids’ Live Action Pitch, while Teresa Fernández-Valdés, founder and executive producer of Bambú Producciones, will receive the MIPTV 2018 Médaille d’Honneur. CANNESERIES is launching with Movistar+’s Felix as part of the Official Selection and RTVE’s If I Were You being featured in the Digital Series section.

Additionally, several executives from Spanish companies are participating in MIPTV conferences as speakers. Miguel Aldasoro of Anima Kitchent will chair a table as part of the “Animation Co-Production Breakfast,” Joanna Carrión of All the Kids Entertainment will host the “Financing High-End Live-Action Series for Kids” panel, and María Medina of Medina Media will lead conferences about AR and VR.
