ProSiebenSat.1 Media is acquiring a majority stake in esome advertising technologies, a leading social-advertising provider.
The Hamburg-based company bundles the technology and the management of social media campaigns on all social networks, notably Facebook, for advertisers. In the future, the technology will also be used for the KPI-based optimization of display, video and later for addressable TV.
Accordingly, ProSiebenSat.1 is expanding the ad-tech management team. Jana Eisenstein will join Advertising Platform Solutions as executive VP on January 1, 2018. She will manage the business of this growth area together with Jens Mittnacht.
Christof Wahl, member of the executive board for digital and COO of ProSiebenSat.1 Group, said: “The majority stake in esome is another boost for our positioning in the ad-tech sector and expands our expertise with KPI-based products in the attractive social-advertising market.
