Vincent Dijkema, who co-developed such format hits as The Voice, has been tapped as the new CEO of the production outfit Strix Benelux, part of the nice entertainment group.

Dijkema is credited as co-creator of such successful entertainment shows as The Voice Kids and I Love My Country (Ik Hou van Holland) and factual-entertainment shows such as Trouble with the Neighbours (Bonje met de Buren) and, most recently, the cooking show Karawane der Köche. He takes up the new post on January 1. Dijkema takes over as CEO from Roy Aalderink, who left the company earlier this fall.

Previously, Dijkema was a senior creative in the content department of Talpa. In 2013, he left Talpa to become a program format consultant for the BBC, and recently he has been a senior executive developer at ProSiebenSat.1.

“Being the new CEO of Strix Benelux is a great new step,” said Dijkema. “I am really looking forward to working with this great talented team and a solid media group worldwide. Being a creative I certainly want to add new great formats and programs to our portfolio and continue to invest in the outstanding relationship with our clients.

“I would also like to thank the people at Pro7/Sat 1 for the wonderful collaboration during the last couple of years.”

Morten Mogensen, CEO of nice entertainment group, commented: “I am thrilled and happy that Vincent is joining our fantastic team at Strix. I am sure he will contribute with a lot of great energy and creative ideas. Coming from a long international career I am confident he will continue to deliver great ideas and content to all of our clients.”
