HBO GO Rolls Out Across CEE

HBO has launched its direct-to-consumer online platform in Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

HBO GO features the premium cable network’s entire library of original series, films and documentaries, HBO Europe’s acclaimed local productions, a big selection of the best series from other premium content providers as well as hit movies and kids’ programming. The stand-alone streamer launches today in Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. HBO GO is available direct to consumer over the internet.

Hervé Payan, the CEO of HBO Europe, said: “HBO GO via affiliates is already a huge success in Central Europe, but our goal is to make it even easier for the many series lovers in these countries to access HBO’s premium content. The launch of HBO GO direct to consumers in Central Europe is a natural step for us after successful launches of HBO streaming services in Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.”
