Mediaset Distribution is heading to NATPE Budapest later this month with a lineup that features drama, unscripted formats and factual titles.

Mediaset Distribution is touting a new drama series, For Love Alone: Crossed Destinies. The company is presenting the second season of the show, which centers on a strong woman who fights to discover the truth about her husband’s disappearance following a helicopter accident.

The company also has a lineup of unscripted shows, including Donnavventura Challenge. Manuela Caputi, the head of international sales at Mediaset Distribution, says the show is a spin-off of the “long running proven successful brand Donnavventura, aired by Canale 5 for 28 seasons. The new series is an adventurous expedition of an all-female team that embarks on an exotic journey across a country with the aim to win a one-year full job as a reporter for a prestigious magazine. The women travel and discover new scenery, culture and tradition, but in each episode one of the girls is voted off by the TV viewers.” According to Caputi, “We’ve already had interest from Greece both for the series and the format.” Another spin-off is Master Adventure, which sees two different teams of women and men competing in the ultimate race.

Another market highlight is the format The Phone Secrets, which watches as couples take part in a game to try to win a dream trip, but they must first share messages from their mobiles. There is also the factual-entertainment format Guerrilla Gardens.

Scripted formats continue to be a priority for Mediaset Distribution in CEE as well, according to Caputi. “We have a very large catalog of series with great stories and the knowledge and expertise to localize our best dramas outside of Italy. We would like to be known not just for drama, but we’d also like to open a new business with unscripted formats.”
