ProSiebenSat.1 Group and Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution have extended their existing licensing deal.

The agreement secures ProSiebenSat.1 a range of blockbuster movies and TV series from the U.S. studio. The broadcasting rights cover the free-TV stations of ProSiebenSat.1 Group in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. In addition, the deal includes selected exclusive rights for the group’s pay-TV and SVOD platforms.

Rüdiger Böss, the executive VP for group programming acquisitions at ProSiebenSat.1 Media, said: “We have already worked with Twentieth Century Fox for many years and I am delighted that we have extended this partnership for the long term. Be it big-budget blockbusters or strong series, the studio delivers exactly the kind of television our viewers want to see. The deal also allows us to offer Fox’s first-class entertainment on all platforms.”

“We are so incredibly pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with our friends at ProSiebenSat.1,” said Kristen Finney, the executive VP for EMEA at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. “We are thrilled that so many of our biggest films and acclaimed series will continue to be enjoyed by audiences in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland through our new deal with ProSiebenSat.1.”
