LONDON: All3media is investing in David Nath and Peter Beard’s new factual and drama production company Story Films.

Story Films was founded in 2016 by the award-winning filmmakers, who will continue to produce programs that blur the lines between factual and drama for audiences in the U.K., U.S. and around the world. The pair first worked together four years ago on Channel 4’s BAFTA-winning mental health series Bedlam. They are currently in production on a new Channel 4 drama and a blue-chip factual series for the broadcaster. They are also in development on several projects for U.S. networks.

Jane Turton, all3media’s CEO, said, “To work with Dave and Pete as they build Story Films is incredibly exciting. They are program makers with an amazing record of producing popular and critically acclaimed shows. We are all really looking forward to working with them as they develop new ideas, be they documentaries or dramas.”

The Story Films founders added: “All3 has such a breadth across all genres so it’s a huge attraction to be able to draw on that experience and creative resource, especially in drama. It also has a terrific global reach, which is going to be key in helping us realize the ambitions we have for Story Films outside of the U.K.”

Story Films will work closely with Layla Smith at Objective Media Group as the company develops the business, especially in the U.S. All3media International will be the distribution partner for Story Films.
